John Myers, MD, a physician from Baltimore, Maryland, pioneered the use of
intravenous (IV) vitamins and minerals as part of the overall treatment of various medical
problems. The author never met Dr. Myers, despite living in Baltimore, but had heard of his
work, and had occasionally used IV nutrients to treat fatigue or acute infections. After Dr. Myers
died in 1984, Alan Gaby, MD, another physician from Baltimore, took over the care of Myers’
patients, using a modified version of his IV regimen. Over an 11-year period, approximately
15,000 injections were administered in an outpatient setting to an estimated 800-1,000 different
patients. Conditions that frequently responded included asthma attacks, acute migraines,
fatigue (including chronic fatigue syndrome), fibromyalgia, acute muscle spasm, upper
respiratory tract infections, chronic sinusitis, and seasonal allergic rhinitis. A small number of
patients with congestive heart failure, angina, chronic urticaria, hyperthyroidism, dysmenorrhea,
or other conditions were also treated with the Myers’ and most showed marked improvement.
Many relatively healthy patients chose to receive periodic injections because it enhanced their
overall well being for periods of a week to several months.

VITAMIN C: Vitamin C is needed for growth and repair of tissues. Vitamin C is an antioxidant.
Antioxidants block some of the damage caused by free radicals. Free radicals are made when
your body breaks down food or when you are exposed to toxic material. The buildup of free
radicals is largely responsible for the aging process. Free radicals may play a role in cancer,
heart disease, and conditions like arthritis. Usage: Antiviral, antibacterial, adrenal fatigue,
wound healing, cancer, immune support, improves vein integrity
B-12 METHYLCOBALAMINE: Vitamin B12 is a water-soluble vitamin with a key role in the normal
functioning of the brain and nervous system, and for the formation of blood. It is involved in the
metabolism of every cell in the human body, especially DNA synthesis and regulation, fatty acid
synthesis and energy production. Usage: Pernicious anemia, allergies,
asthma, canker sores, atopic dermatitis, diabetic neuropathies, sciatica, fatigue, depression,
insomnia, herpes zoster (shingles), psoriasis
B-COMPLEX: B-complex 100 is a combination of B vitamins. 100 mg of Niacin (B3), Thiamine
(B1) and 2mg of Dexapenthanol (B5), Riboflavin (B2), Pyridoxine (B6). Usage: Used to treat or
prevent vitamin deficiency due to poor diet, certain illnesses, alcoholism, or during pregnancy.
Vitamins are important building blocks of the body and help keep you in good health.
B-6: Pyridoxine: Vitamin B6, also called pyridoxine, is one of 8 B vitamins. Vitamin B6 helps
the body make several neurotransmitters, chemicals that carry signals from one nerve cell to
another. It is needed for normal brain development and function, and helps the body make the
hormones serotonin and norepinephrine, which influence mood, and melatonin, which helps
regulate the body’s inner clock. Along with vitamins B12 and B9 (folic acid), B6 helps control
levels of homocysteine in the blood. Homocysteine is an amino acid that may be associated
with heart disease. The body needs B6 in order to absorb vitamin B12 and to make red blood
cells and cells of the immune system. Usage: Seizures, dyskinesias, dementia, depression,
carpal tunnel syndrome, diabetic neuropathy, acne, dermatitis, asthma, nausea or toxemia of
pregnancy
MAGNESIUM: Magnesium is needed for more than 300 biochemical reactions in the body. It
helps maintain normal muscle and nerve function, keeps heart rhythm steady, supports a
healthy immune system, and keeps bones strong. Magnesium helps regulate blood sugar
levels, promotes normal blood pressure, and is known to be involved in energy metabolism and
protein synthesis. There is an increased interest in the role of magnesium in preventing and
managing disorders such as hypertension, cardiovascular disease, and diabetes.
Usage: Natural calcium channel blocker used for hypertension, pre-eclampsia, arrhythmias,
muscle cramps, migraines, asthma, fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue syndrome.
CALCIUM: Calcium is a mineral found in many foods. The body needs calcium to maintain strong
bones and to carry out many important functions. Almost all calcium is stored in bones and
teeth, where it supports their structure and hardness. The body also needs calcium for muscles
to move and for nerves to carry messages between the brain and every body part. In addition,
calcium is used to help blood vessels move blood throughout the body and to help release
hormones and enzymes that affect almost every function in the human body.
Usage: Used for muscle cramping, twitching, urticaria, rashes, insect bites, hypersensitivity
reactions.
